I have just started posting the ones I am listening on this afternoon on the October thread:
Gleb Kolyadin (prog, jazz-fusion), Cuong Vu 4-Tet (jazz-fusion)
Right now listening to a project involving Ángel Ontalva, the guitarist from October Equus (avant-prog band from Spain) and Vespero, a space-rock/prog/psych band from Russia. They have released two albums together:
While I am familiar with October Equus discography, I never heard their guitarist performing outside of the band.
- Carta Marina
- Sea Orm Liventure (a live record where they perform some of the tracks of the former)
A great surprise, I love the guitar work, the percussions, the violin... Listen to the Sea Orm song to get an idea, whatever the version.

I'm not sure if you are already familiar, but this site posts a lot of music that may be of interest.
Oh thanks! No, I didn’t know that web site. I am adding it to my links. I love the name: The Fragmented Flâneur. I already recognize some names: The El Paraiso label, the Moop record...
One of my favorite discovering site is Exposé. They are mainly focused on music outside the mainstream realm: avant-prog, prog, jazz... one review each morning, sometimes two. I am particularly eager to read Jon Davis reviews: his tastes are very eclectic and very similar to mine. But I have also made some great discoveries with Henry Schneider and Peter Thelen, the two other writers. The reviews are always well written and they make you want to listen to the music.
I had also my own blog written in French, but I have stopped it yesterday. There are so many music blogs that it would take too much effort to build a community and moreover only a minority is interested in this kind of music. So I prefer sharing with a small group of people than writing things that will not be read.
