Thanksgiving Dinner

So what are we all eating today? Since it is just the two of us, we are going very traditional. Patrick is smoking up the turkey, I am making my famous stuffing and a jazzed up green bean casserole. The cranberry sauce & our Cran-Razz Dump Cake is already made! Yummy...

Having turkey at Mom's house with sis and brother and their SOs. I'm bringing creamed onions and meat stuffing. (I think this is a French-Canadian thing)

Happy Thanksgiving, MGers!
ETA: Oops, ABP'd!

green salad with dried cranberries, toasted pumpkin seeds, green apple and bleu cheese
sautéed green beans with lemon and almonds
roasted delicata squash with red onion and thyme
vegetable pot pie (mushrooms, sweet potato, parsnips, and chard)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

One of my daughters (unmarried, no kids) came up from 100 mi. south to spend TG with me. Had to put together something quick. Got a turkey breast, basted it in white wine and butter, roasted some sweet potatoes and had a green salad. And those hawaiian rolls. She brought the wine and beer and donuts for dessert. The turkey was so moist it almost left a puddle on the plate. And the gravy from that wine and butter was delicious. Everything was. I was relieved. I haven't made a TG dinner since about 2005. We both agreed that as simple as it was, it was perfect for the two of us and more delicious than we expected. I think we've both been missing family. I think the fact that we were together was the magic ingredient.
