Old media links such as Spotify no longer work in the new software. That’s because they used an add on which has been incorporated into the new version. The good news is that new ones should be automatic if you just paste the url into your post like so:

 
The new software is designed to accept emojis from your favorite handheld device. However, we need to do a little work in the back room first. :nunja:

You will see that the software developer replaced all of the sprite (aka smartass) smilies with the old school ones as a part of the upgrade. :D
 
Some time over the past several weeks, something changed for the better. I used to have to log in every time I came to the MG site. The 'keep me logged in' thing is working now. Yay!

Toe, you might try clearing your browser cache. That solved the same problem for me. :thumbsup:
 
Kai will be installing a major update to our Xenforo software tonight (March 19) after 8 pm Pacific time. We will be offline for an hour or so.

After it’s installed, I’ll be back to tell about the new features.
 
For the past two or three days, the site gives me an error message whenever I try to do anything except read threads. Click my Alerts: "You must authorize cookies!" Post a message: "You must authorize cookies!" Like someone's post: "You must authorize cookies to do this!"

The first day I went all through Firefox, checking settings, changing settings, reading about features. Then I realized that if I keep trying to do whatever is causing the error message, around the 8th try it works and I don't have any more problems until I leave the site and return again. Then I realized it is only happening on MG, so it's probably not an issue caused by changing a universal setting on Firefox.

So, I'll post it here, just in case anyone else is having similar difficulty.

You might have corrupted cookies or data for the MG in your browser. I haven't used Firefox in years, so I don't know exactly how, but you can try deleting all cookies and caches it has for the MG. Then login to the site again and see if that fixes it.
 
The site seems to be getting slower and slower to load by the day. It might be on my end, but other sites don't seem to be quite as sluggish.
