To celebrate our 10,000th post, Music Gourmets is proud to introduce:
You may have seen a few of our beta posts scattered here and there. There is also now a "Media" menu item at the top of every screen to search media directly. This powerful feature came as a premium addon to our new software. It allows every registered user to upload photos, videos and audio files into albums. These albums can then be accessed directly and embedded in threads, too. Here's an example:
View album 7Just click a file and a content-appropriate player pops up. Simple!
To avoid copyright issues, there are three simple rules:
-set the security level for your uploads limiting access to registered users
-avoid music otherwise available for streaming or download (YouTube is OK)
-for videos and photos, follow the existing policies
That's it! The system doesn't allow downloads so we shouldn't have any legal problems.
Of course we will honor any requests to take down offending material immediately.

This is a dream come true ever since the demise of Simplify Media. I'm always happy to upload any music that falls within our rules on request and encourage those of you so inclined to do so as well.
