Music Boomerang - News And Recent Trades

Many of our members are also members of Music Boomerang (www.musicboomerang.com), the CD trading site which developed from Music Gourmets many years ago. It is owned and operated by our good friend Undisclothed, a former and hopefully future MG'er.

The site has an inventory of more than 300,000 discs and allows members to purchase trade credits for just $3.75 each. Trades are just a buck. MB has a vigorous forum of its own and frequently hosts special events such as "Ship Trains," "Newby Tuesdays" and "Get Buried In Music".

This thread will call attention to some of these events that may interest our MG members. It will also highlight some outstanding new trades through the site.

Today's trade pimpage, exclusively for MG:

Over at www.musicboomerang.com I now have available for trade a sealed copy of Jazz Oracle's rare CD "A Gift From The President":

bdw8047.jpg

"This CD was the brainchild of our President, John R.T. Davies, and is offered as a gift with the purchase of any Jazz Oracle CD. It includes a selection of rare alternative takes and other previously-unissued material, including the legendary 1925 recording of Mother Me, Tennessee by Wingy Manone's San Sue Strutters. This is a limited edition, and in order to make it available to as many people as possible we have a limit of one per customer."

Click it and it's yours!

From The "What Are You Listening To Now, Baby?" thread comes...
Hiromi - Move (2012)

hiromi_move.jpg

Non-stop excitement from the daring jazz pianist. She can barely contain her creative energy but the bass of Anthony Jackson and the drums of Simon Phillips (David Gilmour, Judas Priest) are more than up to the formidable task of making it all work.
:4.5: on the Sam-O-Meter.

Now available on Music Boomerang.

My instincts about how to do things at Boomerang are not-so-good. I have never developed beyond that non-intuitive stage.

Would I need to do something other than say that I want it? I guess I need to buy a credit, as well.

OK, you're set with a credit. Go to "traders" tab, click "all traders",Hit "O", find Ojai, In his "Haves" click "H" to find Hiromi and click "want".

I sent out so much stuff when the site opened, and got far less in return. I don't see any reason to visit there again, as I am in the hole and will likely stay there.

All completed. I don't see anything yet, but I will go to bed with dreams of sugarplums dancing in my head.

The annual 4th of July Ship Train is coming to Music Boomerang!

It's easy to participate:

1. Find the Ship Train thread over at their forum.

2. Post "I'm In!"

3. Ship something listed in the want list of the person above you. Maybe s/he'll get it, maybe not.

4. The next person after you will ship something on your want list. Maybe you'll get it, maybe you won't.

Be sure to have some trade credits (which you can buy for just $3.75) and a decent sized want list with some affordable items.

The train will run all weekend. I'll be participating myself. In addition, I will gift a trade credit to any of our MG members who jump on. Just post here or send me a pm.

All aboard!
