Paul McCartney/Wings - Wild Life (1971)

Wings - Wild Life - album cover

I tend to be a Macca apologist and enjoy his whimsy from "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" to "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" but not much positive to say about "Bip Bop" and some other tunes here. Wing's first but a big step down from Ram. Paul would do better.

D.R. Hooker - The Truth (1972)

D.R. Hooker - The Truth - album cover

First listen - in fact, I hadn't heard of this album prior. Lesser known psych album that seems like it would fit in 5 years early with the Airplane and other Cali groups. Cover is hilarious - Jesus rocking out. Not bad actually.
D.R. Hooker sounded like if Quicksilver Messenger Service had an LSD overdose on those Merry Pranksters "Acid Tests" and then, they also included a lot of psychedelic effects on their recordings, including backward tapes and other stuff, aside from the cipollinesque leads.

I understand the reference, but I don't think Pat Cipollone would.

P. S. I may need to give this a listen.

Bread - Baby I'm-a-Want-You (1972)

Bread - Baby I'm-A Want You - album cover

Interesting pick from Mojo - personally if we're picking a Bread album, I think On the Waters is a better album...but I'm-A-Not-Wanting to include a Bread album in Zeeba's Core Collection :)

Isaac Hayes - Black Moses (1971)

Isaac Hayes - Black Moses - album cover

Great choice! While one could quibble about putting Hot Buttered Soul here instead of this one, 18 minutes of "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" is a challenge for the Ike-unitiated. Though a double album, this is quite accessible
(this album and Nilsson's actually 1971 - just doing the order of the list)
