Obviously The Queen is Dead is an unassailable pick, but surprised about this Costello pick. As a Costello fan for years, it seems ever since 1980 critics have been searching for what EC album is a “return to form” (Trust, Imperial Bedroom, Spike, King of America). I enjoy this one but don’t find it head and shoulders above other possibilities - most including myself would probably pick Imperially Bedroom for this list over this one.
