I agree. Just completed my first listen.

Edit: "ii. Broken Instrument - I've Heard Legends"is spoken word, but it is awe-inspiring. For the first few seconds, I thought it was a Spotify commercial; after that, it got real, really quickly.

Bob Weinstock's Prestige label was far better known for jazz. But he started the International Series to cover folk music from around the world, beginning with this energetic entry from a Greek-American ensemble.

I remember hearing that one and an earlier song for the first time, and my first impression was that the songwriting seemed almost ... childlike. But as each song continued I was stunned by the simple powerful turns the story took. Truly masterful.
