Detroit Symphony (Paul Paray, cond.) - Debussy: La Mer, Iberia Prelude To Afternoon Of A Faun; Ravel: Mother Goose Suite (1958)

Brilliant pairing of sympathetic conductor with colorful French impressionist material, captured in all of its vibrant glory by Mercury's legendary "Living Presence" recording system. The CD release adds Ravel's rarely heard "Mother Goose Suite".

Immanuel Wilkins - Omega (2020)

Listening to this right now for two reasons.

1) It's very good.

2) Wilkins has a new album coming next week. I know it will be a good listen - I'm listening to this to determine if this one is as good as I think it is to go ahead and order the next. However, I'm in a mood lately where my logical brain is telling me I have "enough" to listen to, not to mention the X number of CDs I bought in the last couple of months. And I know that I've happily survived as a listener without buying 10 other CDs I really really really wanted at some point over the past three months. But right now, I do kind of really really want his new album.

EDIT: I ordered it :surrender:
