I thought we needed this thread. Let me know if we don't.

I took classical flute lessons for about a decade from a man who was the first chair with the Philly Orchestra and then three years of jazz improvisation with a guy who was best friends with Robert Fripp. My flute playing is eclectic. Let's leave it at that.
 

The ronroco is a mix between the charango (see above) and the guitar. The sound is however lower than that of the charango but higher than that of the guitar. The tuning is the same as that of the charango with the first and fourth strings at a lower octave. One of the fifth strings changes from G to a lower octave.
