I don't recommend it, but it has a similar sensation to placing your tongue on a battery.

I now need to rinse off my record, the turntable platter, the plinth, under the turntable, my stereo furniture....

When I first bought Sennheiser HD600 headphones 7 or 8 years ago they must have imprinted on me, as that's what I'm back to listening to. I'm also using a Schiit Eitr, Modi Multibit and Vali 2 with an EH 6CG7 tube.

This is the setup I had a number of years ago, but I didn't fully realize at the time how good it was. I didn't stray far headphone-wise, merely trying the HD650/HD6XX, but when I compare that headphone to the HD600, it sounds a bit too rolled off with bass that is slightly too boomy. I prefer the HD600.

Since then I've tried various other amps and find I just favor the Vali 2.

I realize now that I lucked into a very good sounding setup the first time around. But it took trying other things to fully appreciate that.
