I paid $40  (including shipping) for 3 ft. RCA cables from Blue Jeans Cables. It probably won't make any difference, but I have my doubts about the RCA cables I bought from Monoprice years ago for all of $2.30. Why have that doubt all the time?

So, stop doubting. Enjoy your newfound gain.

Or, just be happy for no good reason.

Well, this is just crazy. I have the new cables installed and now the sound has less brightness and glare. I've listened to several albums I'm very familiar with and the difference is holding up. Hmmm.

Allow the new context to provide you with more content...

...or simply contentment, if you will.

The difference is most noticeable with electric guitar. It sounded off before (and had me missing tube amps), but I don't hear it that way now.
Vive la différence!

I noticed a distinct and sustained difference in guitar (particularly electric) when I added the LPs behind the speakers. I wasn't expecting anything other than to use available space. I might describe the effect as a room treatment.

That's why Steve Jobs' stereo probably sounded like shit in this famous picture. No room treatments, reflections galore.
