Random Food Thoughts

Actually it is a fast food place - you order at counter, no table service. Of course you can unpack your bag there and eat it at the tables
My 18-yo feels Five Guys makes the best burgers compared to other fast food and even some other sit down restaurants. Quite greasy but you do get to customize toppings and they're fries are pretty good (plus shakes)

I'm sure these comments makes you just want run out and eat there :)
With those prices, I hope they're paying their employees $25/hr to start.

I've bought boxes of Cheez-Itz that tasted like sawdust, and I've bought boxes of Cheez-Itz that were absolutely delicious. And going by the sell-by date provides no indication what it's going to be.

My wife likes those, but I don't (other than their puffed version). She snacked on some yesterday and asked if I wanted some. I said I'll try one. It tasted decidedly sour. Bleh.

Sam, do you agree, disagree, waiting to try some?
Thanks, Nick. I missed this article. It is written from the perspective of someone new to Ojai looking for shiny objects. All of the choices except The Farmer and The Cook have opened in the last year or two and offer trendy but tiresome cuisine. Here are my contrary picks:

Ca Marco Ristorante

The Ranch House

Nocciola

Agave Maria

Ojai Coffee Roasters

Boccali’s

Insider Secret:
The Donut Hole

And most essential of all:

Bonnie Lu’s Cafe

All have better food, less wait time and a more authentic Ojai vibe. Tell ‘em Sam sent you.
