Random Food Thoughts

Grosser than the above, let us add Necco Wafers:

Necco wafers are fantastic. We used to go to the original factory in Cambridge, MA where you could buy rolls of the individual flavors. Clove and cinnamon for me! Then they moved up to Revere, too far for a simple day trip.
Glad they have made a come-back. Going to look for some this weekend!

By now we have surely realized that Episcopal is an anagram of Pepsi Cola....

"Give us this day our Pepsi Cola."

Heinz Vegetarian Beans

Anyone else encounter changing or disappearing food products since the pandemic? Kellogg’s Cracklin’ Oat Bran cereal vanished for over a year but now seems to be available.
I've never even noticed, or looked for, Heinz Vegetarian beans in the market, but we buy the blue canned ones all the time. They are, or were, from England, and we love the taste of them. They are a regular breakfast item for us. Bean on toast, anyone?

There were two kinds of GrainBerry Cereals that left the shelves early in the pandemic. Only one has returned to local markets.

Another one is a Langer's product. Stores used to have the Cucumber, Lime and Mint Juice up until the beginning of the year, but I can't find it in my local stores.

At least the swallows still return to Capistrano. :vic:
