I tried to look up the year for 3 Bears In Yellowstone, and Google AI had never heard of it.

Thanxolotl.

I just have difficulty imagining that families in and around Charlotte in the mid-1960s would be cool okay with dropping off their younguns for a three-hour show featuring Moptops and other early British rock-and-roll bands. I had extended family in Charlotte, Shelby, and Kings Mountain, NC, and they didn't seem to be particularly hip to the beat, if you know what I mean.

I have told this story before, but one time we were visiting extended family in Montgomery, AL, in the late 60s. I was with my brother Steve and a few others, and Steppenwolf came on the radio. He made the remark that, where we were in the Deep South, the lyrics could just as easily have been "Born to Be White." I was a teen, but I didn't catch the reference, knowing exactly squat about racism.
