Random Music Thoughts

The right things to do (and far healthier as far as mental health) would be to listen to tons of music
Sadly, obsessed with refreshing news pages and watching CNN/MSNBC, I have not be listening to much music. In fact, only spun 2 albums today from my 1995 list.
This election needs to be over so I can return to normalcy and resume concentrating on fun things of little import like music, movies, reading :(

The networks are delaying calling it so they can maximize ratings. They are craven.

I feel like engaging with this comment.

I remember that, during my greatest episodes of anxiety (which were great in name only), I could not listen to music much if at all. This was true during my entire period of unemployment in 2018 and then only subsided several months after I had been re-employed. I even unplugged my entire stereo system and wondered why I had amassed so many stupid LPs and CDs.

Meanwhile, when I am depressed or just sad (but not anxious), I could listen to music virtually any time, although I will prefer music that matches my mood. Why the hell do you think I listen to so much ambient and slowcore?

I was hoping that a noted specialist in Neurology would chime in on this topic, but he might have his cranium implanted in a television monitor right now.

Don't be alarmed now.
Woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head.

I am experiencing this recurring thought that the reason nobody is reporting any activity or anything else on the MG is due to everybody in this sphere of influence (with the exclusion of me) being invited into the Biden transition team, with meetings starting early on Monday.

In sum, I feel left out.

P. S. So, Ima gunna listen to more music, since I didn't put this in the Lounge.

Greed Department:

According to superdeluxeedition.com -

“Incidentally, in response to a reader on his ‘letters to the editor’ section of his website Neil [Young] acknowledges that “the price is too high” for the After The Goldrush vinyl box set, but then adds ‘there is a reason Reprise does that. They are in a business’”.

Well, to be fair, it is entitled After the Goldrush, innit?
