On Google News today, the headline of Led Zeppelin reuniting to play instead of Stones at Jazz Fest. Was really excited initially - then remembered it was April 1. I searched on Led Zep and only found one site reporting this.
Of course it was an April Fools Joke - they didn't fool me for more than 30 seconds but for that 30 seconds I was pretty excited

Just so you don't take my laughing in the wrong way, it's because of your final sentence.For decades, I've waited for any mainstream media to not simply accept Hip Hop, but to love it and express that love by allowing Hip Hop a prominent place in its list of top albums of the year. Usually, Hip Hop will score one top 10 mention, and maybe another one or two in the 11-20 range. Rarely would a list truly reflect Hip Hop's place in pop music culture.

This morning, I stumbled across RateYourMusic's list of Best of 2018. I was shocked to find 4 of the top 6 albums are Hip Hop albums. Then I was surprised to realize I have not listened to any of them.
Just when mainstream media gets to where I want it on this topic, I'm not there any more.
