The fact that Keith Richards is the same age as my mom (who had a penchant when younger for Mario Lanza and Fabian and won't leave the house this winter to see my daughter's college graduation because "someone has to run the water in the pipes") astounds me.

When I see a member of a band (R.E.M.) that is one of my all-time favorites get into petty squabbles on Twitter, I don't know how I feel about it. Not good.

No, it was Mike Mills arguing with someone that was saying R.EM. was an "esoteric" 90s (ha) band that would be completely forgotten in 10 year's time. I mean, why even bother? It's beneath his dignity.
