Random Music Thoughts

The album It's a Shame about Ray by the Lemonheads is imprinted on my brain. I went through a period in the 90s when it was new that I listened to the album repeatedly on a portable CD player while walking for exercise.

I listened to it again recently, and it triggered ear worms for multiple songs that have lasted two weeks so far.

It's a Shame about Rick.

I cannot locate my old mp3 player, and since I have moved, don't think I'm about to find it. If I did, it would do the same for me with regards to Fountains of Wayne, among a handful of others.

Some of that handful might be worth a relistening, like Jetplane Landing and kilowatthours. Hmm....

North America Tour Postponed:

Sadly, my Cat on the Road to Findout Book Tour in the U.S. and Canada looks like it won’t go ahead as scheduled in October.

Waiting months for visa approvals, we held out as long as we could. However, at this point, the production logistics necessary for my show cannot be arranged in time.
I am really upset! Not least for my fans who have bought tickets and made travel plans to see me perform.

North American audiences may still get a chance to see the tour if visa approvals eventually come through. Those dates would be some time away because of other travel tour plans but, hopefully, fans will be able to hop on the Peace Train route at some time in the future.

Meanwhile, tour delays should not affect the book, which you'll still be able to enjoy... the obvious benefit of it being — books don't need visas!

I don't think he's going to stay off the heroin.

I tend to agree with you. He makes a ton of excuses or rationalizations about always coming out on top.

Despite the many lows, he says he always had fortune on his side. “I’ve never overdosed, not on anything. Who can say that?” he says, proudly. Most people, I reply, as gently as I can.
