What Are You Listening To? December 2019

^ Time for an anecdote.

Without my reading glasses, I enter the CD case for rock. I pick one somewhat indiscriminately from a section. I do not recognize the album, as there are no words on the cover, only the image above. On the light blue spine, there are words in white, that I cannot discern.

This is occasionally how I choose what music I listen to these days.

Let's be careful out there, friends.

Neo-Psychedelia

P. S. It's time to echolocate, not time to eat chocolate.

Found these two lovelies taped (GAH! O_0 ) together at SA in Orange today. Cost me a whopping four bucks.

B B King - Blues On The Bayou

A very nice BB King album. In his mid-70's, King spent a few days in a studio with his touring band and produced this album. Literally. For the first time, in his mid-70's, he produced his own album.

In my favorite genre, sometimes I listen to an album not so much because it's good, but to be exposed to something or learn a little history. I punish myself that way a lot. I discover some cool music but you know, if you want to mine gold, you have to dig through a lot of mud. This album is just a pleasant listen from start to finish. And I don't do that for myself often enough.
