The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night (1964)
Vinyl Spin of the Day.
Fortunately I held onto my original mono copy of this album. It's in great condition with the original inner sleeve touting United Artists Records' odd mix of soundtracks and mid-level artists running the gamut from George Jones to comedian Pat Cooper.
Four instrumental versions of songs from the film were were recorded by "George Martin and his Orchestra" to fill out the then-universal 12 tracks. They were even released on two singles, one of which charted.
Beatlemania was a beautiful thing.

Henderson recorded several albums for Vee-Jay before this one-off on MGM with Oscar Peterson. He turns in solid performances on a dozen well-selected tunes, pushing Oscar in a rootsier direction than usual with Ray Brown and Ed Thigpen rocking right along with him.
