David Bowie - David Bowie (1967)

David Bowie - David Bowie - album cover

Was listening to the limited-time David Bowie channel on Sirius XM - caught part of their "Top 75 song" countdown - so in a Bowie mood
Was going to embark on a chronological listen starting with...well David Bowie (1969), but I forgot about this trippy psych folk debut that, of course, didn't do well leading to his first of many stylistic shift. Not sure I've ever spun this one - I probably have it's just mostly forgettable, but lyrically you get some interesting insight in the directions Bowie would go

Prince - Around the World In A Day (1985)

I was a bit disappointed when this came out. I was 14 and wanted Purple Rain pt. 2 and instead got this odd little psychedelic album. I've grown to absolutely love it over the years and it's now one of my favorites of his.

Prince - The Black Album (1987/1994)

I was so damn ready for this to come out in 1987. Went to the record store immediately after school and was brokenhearted when the owner said the release had been cancelled. A while later I found a vinyl boot of it and of course bought it...quality was crap but I didn't care, I was finally getting to hear it! Bought the CD when it was officially released in 1994 for a few months. Love this album so much!!
