Jack Walrath and the Masters of Suspense - Gut Feelings (1991)
Avant garde-ish intense theatre Jazz from an associate of Mingus. You can hear the connection to Mingus in a lot of this, but I think it leans toward the more out-there of Mingus' work. Not bad. Just when it might go too far, it starts getting swingy and bluesy and reels me right back in. I should listen to this more often.
Blue Note All-Stars - Our Point Of View (2017)
The name of the band is definitely truth in advertising. Each is an creatively exciting bandleader in his own right. Combined, they're like Voltron.

Tom Harrell - Colors Of A Dream (2013)
I ordered a Wayne Escoffery cd yesterday and figured I should listen to some of his music while I await its delivery. This will do very well and also give me some Harrell and Esperanza. Win win win.
