Bruce Springsteen - L.A. Garage Sessions '83 (rec. 1983, rel. 2025 :cheer:)

The first of seven  unreleased albums in the brand new Tracks II collection sets a very high standard. An album with this material would have dropped between the stark Nebraska (1982) and the anthemic Born In The U.S.A. (1984). In simplistic terms, Bruce took some very strong songs and applied the Nebraska "home demo" approach to them. Would this record have been an important milestone on his artistic journey or a detour better left in the vault? Much as I love these songs and their raw feel, from a career development perspective I think he made a wise choice.

:5.0: on the Sam-O-Meter. Better late than never. Thanks, Bruce.
