The long-suffering Mrs. Ojai hasn't said anything about the recent profusion of ancient religious music. However, she did just light a candle and place it on my desk. Maybe I should consider adding a collection box.

One of the more intellectual women I dated once told me that I had a lot in common with Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony. I hadn't a clue until I looked it up, thereby neatly validating her point.
Actually, the title is a mistranslation into French of "Passionate". Be that as it may, this album, made during the height of Beatlemania, is an inspired performance of classic repertoire by a solid orchestra under a brilliant conductor.

That's sure a lotta different music for one disc.
Milhaud was a man who said what he had to say quickly. Each piano concerto was less than 20 minutes.
