Ojai Sam Staff member Oct 8, 2017 #100 J.J. Johnson & Kai Winding - Stonebone (CTI 1970) Vinyl rip of the day. This album has never been released except on a mythically rare Japanese LP. I can't imagine why; it is as outstanding as the lineup would suggest. The band really stretches out on the two long jams, balanced nicely with the two shorter tunes.
