What's For Dinner?

We made a simple salad for dinner last night: Endive, Butter lettuce, golden beets, red onion, craisins, toasted walnuts, chevre, and raspberry balsamic glaze drizzled over top. It was the most colorful and delicious thing I have eaten in a long time. I should have taken a photo. I'll make it again soon.

Found a new version of the Chinese dish "Ants Climbing a Tree". It has ground pork, baby bok choy, tons of garlic, ginger, and chilis, and rice noodles. Stir fried and then finished with cilantro and toasted sesame seeds. It's gonna be good!

What are you having for dinner tonight? I found a jar of tomato/fennel/bacon sauce we made last fall in the freezer. Making baked ziti with that, hot sausage meatballs, mozz, and parm. Smells sooooo good right now!

"This is delicious. What are the ingredients?"
"Well, the jar of tomato/fennel/bacon sauce we made, baked ziti, hot sausage meatballs, mozz, parm, and... uh... human blood."
"What? Blood? What were you thinking?"
"I injured myself. I sliced my finger on the cleaver. I was tired. I've been sleepy all day."
"Why were you tired?"
"Your snoring kept me awake."

See how easy this is?

P. S. Mind you, I am twice-divorced, so don't take any advice from me.

I made a pot of Tom Kai Gah tonight. Coconut milk, lemongrass, chili paste, kaffir lime leaves, lime juice, chicken, shrimp, fish sauce.
So incredibly sour and rich and warming all at the same time. This is going into regular winter-time rotation.
