True story: I removed a USB-C to USB-A adapter from a port on my Mac mini and noticed an immediate improvement in sound quality. It's great, but something like that shouldn't have that strong an effect. I removed the adapter because I no longer need it, but what if I did?

Just keep listening.

Some changes are euphonic, in the sense of subjectively pleasing, but do not bring lasting value or ultimately cause listener fatigue.

On second thought, nobody needs extra doodads on their devices that do not add value.

I am. The effect remains. The sound is less rolled off, more holographic and detailed.

Edit: this is very good because I had been thinking about buying another (tube) amp, now I don't need or want to.

Now that the weather is warming up, I can go back to smelling sweat slightly when I'm wearing my headphones, even though if I sniff my headphones, they don't smell like anything. :(
