Was your Bose a standalone, all-in-one unit (that is, with speakers), or simply a CD player (that is, a component)?^ Our Bose CD player gave up the ghost a few months back and we replaced it with a much less expensive brand. Turns out, it has better sound than the Bose and we are back to playing our CDs again while we cook dinner.
It was the all-in-one unit with CD player and radio. The replacement is an Aiwa all-in-one with CD player and radio, too.Was your Bose a standalone, all-in-one unit (that is, with speakers), or simply a CD player (that is, a component)?

Listening to Cameron Winter's album Heavy Metal reveals that the improvement in sound quality is not so trivial! Wow.I am pretty firmly a cable believer. I bought new RCA cables for my stack and they do indeed sound better than the old cables. I would say the improvement in clarity is about 10%, so maybe not much. But it is indeed noticeable.
And just like that, a few days later the sound quality has "normalized" and it's just what music sounds like now on my desktop stack. This always happens.Listening to Cameron Winter's album Heavy Metal reveals that the improvement in sound quality is not so trivial! Wow.
Yes. Yes, it does. And just like that, a few days later the sound quality has "normalized" and it's just what music sounds like now on my desktop stack. This always happens.
Hey! Just because I bring up a major, obvious flaw in the human condition that irritates other people by merely being brought up, doesn't mean you get to ask difficult questions yourself, mister!Which brings me to ask the ultimate question: wire we even hear?
