I too have fallen and can't catch up. Still, here is my belated choice for the grand ol' year of 1982
David Murray - Murray's Steps

My favorite Murray album, and thankfully, not in a year that presents an unusually tough decision. Especially since MJ has already been chosen. Don't get me wrong, there are many albums from 1982 that I flat out love. It's just that Thriller and this one stand a smidge above the half dozen HMs.
