Sure, I'm in. Just don't give me a crappy year, like anything from the 1980's to present.
And get off my lawn.
what year will ZeebaNeighba pick for Old Uncle Toe? The answer is: most likely.

Good luck.Holy cow, jackpot! I almost want to hand the baton to @JazzyRandy because jazz was strong in 1960. But then again so was blues, which is my favorite genre. Coincidentally Bob Newhart's Button Down Mind was released this year. If we weren't limited to music, I'd pick that. As far as music, I have one early thought, but I'm afraid it's an album no one would like but me and I don't want to do that to you all. I'll mull over the choices and post something by Monday. Wish me luck!
You're right. I'm probably too far into the Jazz beast to know how much non Jazz fans have heard. Before I got into Jazz, I had no idea who or what a "Mingus" was. His great albums seem like obvious choices to me now, but I have to admit most music fans have probably never have listened to more than one Mingus album.^
If I was going jazzy with 1960, Mingus’ Blues & Roots would be tough to pass up as it’s so tremendous (I don’t know if I would assume everybody knows it very well) but If I was going deeper cuts I’d probably choose Tina Brooks True Blue or Art Farmer/Benny Golson Meet the Jazztet. Sam Jones’ Soul Society which alternates tracks with Nat Adderley and Blue Mitchell is also a pretty sweet deeper cut

You cad! Does your wife know?Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart would be a great choice (I don't think you're leaning that way) - but could be because I've just finished binging The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Yeah, the 1986 list looks okay to me too. Except that six of the top 7 are heavy metal. Were we still doing that in 1986?what the hell is going on with the 1986 list on RYM? It's all over the place year-wise.
