My rym page isn't screwy any more. 1986 was an insanely good year for music, imho.
While the first page is always "wow!" there are plenty of pure gens found in the later pages.I think the top 10 albums often listed as the best of that year are indeed - and there's nothing wrong with certainly nominating The Queen Is Dead, Master of Puppets, Graceland or License to Ill (or even Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet) but wanted to scratch the surface a bit deeper. Not sure the year is as deep as some others around it, or I've just never gelled with some of the deeper cuts albums.
Still I think I've got a good one - not a rare unknown album, but perhaps an album that many have heard but not broken out for awhile
...and there's nothing wrong with certainly nominating <the popular stuff on page 1> but wanted to scratch the surface a bit deeper...
...which takes time, but I think it's worth it.
Are any of us in that big a hurry? Should we start an album every two weeks instead of just one?

It's Friday and time to randomly generate a year from 1955-2017 for our next album picker, Axo!
On Monday, he will post our next album to listen collectively
Axo's year will be:
1993
Remember, selectors should feel free to pick rare albums or well-worn classics, any genre (pop, rock, soul, jazz, electronic) - a favorite of yours that you'd like others to play and discuss.

You trusted me with 1998 and 1991. You are testing my resilience and resolve, I fear.![]()
No DoubtSomewhere, the powers-that-be have you mixed up as a nineties' Gen-Xer.

Next year announced this Friday which should give people a chance to check out Axo's selection and catch up on any past picks
I'll be hoping for a not too terribly painful year.
