Civilization will not survive.
In Philly, there are guys on every corner selling hotdogs and soft pretzels in Center City. They put the hotdogs into the vat of hot water in the morning and sell them through the day. If you get one just before lunch time, you got a hot dog. If you got one in the late afternoon, you got a "hot water dog". Totally flavorless and soggy. And probably a free cup of hot dog water if you asked for it. I think I know how that bottle would taste. I've had a few.

My gag reflex is activated just thinking about it.

Hot dogs get the relish and ketchup treatment from me. No mustard (that's reserved for kielbasa and German wurst [which in turn receive no ketchup or relish]). There used to be an older guy who had a hot dog cart in the middle of nowhere along the Delaware River, just north of Titusville, NJ, on our drive down to Philly. It was tradition that we stopped to get one from him. My wife got out to place our order. She gets mustard and relish on hers. She then asked for my relish and ketchup one. The guy said "what, ya got a small kid in the car?". Sadly, on a few of our last drives down, his cart was no longer there. I guess he retired to Florida.
