I’m still trying to figure out “Small Birds, Italian Style”.

In Italy it was, and still is in some rural areas, to catch small birds like sparrows and the like, clean them, skewer, and then roast whole over coals, basting with wine and olive oil. "Uccellinni alla griglia".
