On a vaguely related note...
Many years ago my brother dated this Cuban girl who learned, from her mom, to put raisins in her spaghetti sauce. When I saw her cooking it, I was a non-believer but it was actually pretty good. I cleaned my plate.

Maestrani is from my mother's home town. They made a chocolate bar called Rosemarie, that was the tastiest bar ever made. Unfortunately, they were bought out by Frey a number of years ago and the Rosemarie went by the roadside.
