Random Music Thoughts

Well....3 out of 4 ain't bad
Yes, I remember that the Village Green Preservation Society lost Pete Quaife several years ago.
The Best Albums of the Decade!.....well, the last decade

https://web.archive.org/web/20091108000844/http://blog.rhapsody.com/2009/11/rockdecade.html

Was on Wiki with the Sharon Jones album and saw a link to an old Rhapsody music block for 2009 naming the "Top 25" of the 2000s
100 Days, 100 Nights came in 7th so I was intrigued.

Obviously 9 yrs later, many of the "usual suspects" are still esteemed today - Kid A, White Blood Cells, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
And hey! Sharon Jones, Amy Winehouse, and Brandi Carlisle are up there as well as Southern Rock Opera

Green Day's American Idiot is #3 - hey, I love it, but kind of high critically. But can anyone trust a top-anything list with Nickelback eking in. Still, though I've never been known for my broad range of 21st century music ;) I was surprised I was completely unfamiliar with the #2 album Andrew W.K.'s I Get Wet. Even allmusic gives it :4.5: (hey, first use of stars on this site) with a review stating:

How have I missed this one? Was it any good?
Hey, it's #2 on a poll. How bad could it be?

I have listening to exactly....zero of these albums
Oh, but you will. [At least, you have the grace to admit it.]
(kids today with their loud music...I tell you....Pat Boone. Now THERE was a singer!)
So true. Even Axl could not sing "Paradise City" at that tempo.
