The Beatles recorded “Here Comes the Sun” on this day, 7th July 1969. Written by George Harrison at his friend Eric Clapton’s country home, while avoiding Apple Corps’ business meetings. The song’s first live performance was on 1st August 1971 at the Concert for Bangladesh.
 
Singer, songwriter, and musician Ian Curtis was born on this day, 15th July 1956 in Stretford, Lancashire, England. Died 18th May 1980, in Macclesfield, Cheshire, aged 23 of suicide. Co-founding member and lead singer with Joy Division (initially Warsaw) from 1976-80.

 
Gregory Isaacs was born on this day, 15th July 1951 in Kingston, Jamaica. Nickname: The ‘Cool Ruler’. Died 25th October 2010, in London, England. Isaacs starred in the 1978 film “Rockers”, and his “Slave Master” is on the soundtrack.

 
I read a book three days ago that referenced that Dead Skunk song from the seventies, and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since.:oops::oops::oops:
