Happy 70th Birthday to Bruce Springsteen - finished up some 1920s listening this weekend, but gonna play some Bruce today. 1930s listening will have to wait until tomorrow
I like that the modern world is stuck with a mystery. I have this sci-fi thought that we'll get so used to pulling out google and learning things in an instant that knowledge will eventually be devalued. (Cue the theme music for Idiocrasy.)![]()
The Unsolved Case of the Most Mysterious Song on the Internet
Twelve years. Thousands of hours of sleuthing. No answers. On the hunt for the three most enigmatic minutes of music.www.rollingstone.com
The past two days, work has been so busy that I've barely been able to listen to music.
Don't these people realize that I just want to hear music (not to mention have the music of the 1930s to get through)?! Jeez!
Or, more pointedly...Get a sign for your desk that reads, “Priorities, People!”
I sympathize but EMI owns the rights to the songs, don't they? And doesn't that ownership imply they can do what they want with them? I'm not sure what Apple is basing their suit on.![]()
This is why I have boycotted Nike all my life. And I'm not even that big a Beatles' fan.

I agree. This is the definition of integrity. But I never expect it of large corporations. I agree with Marks that The Beatles' art should not be sold out to commerce without their blessing. But I don't know what legal precedent he's going to lean on in his lawsuit.Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

I was going to mention that, earlier on.Just to let you know, that story is from 1987. The lawsuit is long over.
You know, I remembered those Revolution Nike commercials from way back when. I'm not sure why I thought this was current.I was going to mention that, earlier on.
I neglected to do so, however.
As such, I feel somewhat responsible for letting things proceed as they have.
Ultimately, Yoko shares some of the responsibility, perhaps even more than I.
Please accept my heartfelt mea culpa. I deserve whatever is coming to me, at this point.
I haven't even listened to everybody elses' picks! You know, I remembered those Revolution Nike commercials from way back when. I'm not sure why I thought this was current.
For your punishment you have to take my next turn in the Our Next Musical Venture topic.
