Random Music Thoughts

Local evening news just said that Aerosmith is cancelling their current tour because of Steven Tyler's health.

Sixto "Sugarman" Rodgriguez was fantastic. No two ways about it. Jebus Christmas. ....how did this guy never hit big? Except for South Africa.

An enjoyable read. Thanks for that.

I only knew a portion of the story.

When I first heard a side off of one of Jarrett's live albums on the radio in 1975 from my old Sankyo receiver, I do not for the life of me know which concert it was. I could guess, but I will never know for sure.

I just knew I had to pick up a copy of his live solo album. How was I to know there were already two of them, one with four sides and one with six? [That's nothing, though - the Sun Bear Concerts has 20 sides.]

I am pretty sure - what with about 45 records or so of his, some with duplicates - that I have whatever I heard, and then some.

LAT was their third album, not the first.
"It has never been done. No one has put out a decent record 35 [years into their career]," vocalist Gibby Haynes tells Rolling Stone. "Well, except for Johnny Cash. But we're not Johnny Cash. It's gonna be a tough road to do a record that's presentable. It's really gonna be hard. … But given that, looking forward to it!"
Why, I can think of....

No, wait, he's right.
