Random Music Thoughts

Key quote:

“First, with so much choice out there, it’s tempting to default to listening to songs and artists you already know. Sorting through new music is just too overwhelming. Could this skew overall listening to older songs rather than new ones? Maybe.”

Obviously this guy never observed Unsom’s diverse choices here at MG. :worm:
Even I have fallen into the trap of listening to old favorites. I'm taking a break now but listening to newish music hasn't been that great lately.

He must've been very sensitive to treble.

"The sound of a harpsichord – two skeletons copulating on a tin roof in a thunderstorm."

- Sir Thomas Beecham

Beecham, however, never heard one of Gerald Self's harpsichords. “There's no skeleton copulating here,” Self said as he played one of his own harpsichords.

This could just be self-congratulation, tho'.
