Random Music Thoughts

I don't know if any of you listen to The Moth Radio Hour on NPR, but they just had a set with Christian McBride telling a story about meeting James Brown and attempting to set up a joint concert with him. Very well told. I am sure you can find it on-line.

We just realized that my wife and I were at the same "roundup" concert in Philly in 1983, 13 years before we met each other. Maybe we sat next to each other?

After the concert, were visions of sugarplums dancing in your head? Then, you met, and it was kismet - as though you'd sat together 13 years earlier?

How old would you each have been in 1983?

I was 20 then, and she was 17. The line up was the Police, with REM, Madness, and Joan Jett as openers.
I am not sure about Monsanto, but I know I had no weeds growing on me.

Spoiler without a spoiler: according to Wiki, the first "roundup" concert (multiple big0-name bands) was actually at JFK in Philly. And I was at the show. Allman Brothers were the head-liners with Marshall Tucker Band and others of that ilk. Don't ask me why I went. I couldn't tell you, because I wasn't into Southern Rock, but I WAS into concerts. So....ok? . But I know I went. Yeesh. But it was fun as hell. And yes....lots of nudity was on display.

When I was copying my music library from an NTFS (PC) volume to an HFS+ volume (MAC), I was half-expecting to have some files missing. So far, it looks like everything is there.

Macs can read NTFS volumes, but can't write to them (normally).

I'n afraid that's corny.
I'm amaized that you would sprout such cornsiderable nonsense.

I'll stop stalking, now.

Eschewing High-Tech Hotel Amenities in Favor of Old-School Record Players

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/21/travel/hotels-record-players-vinyl.html

I wonder how beat up and scratched the equipment and vinyl get after awhile? I doesn't take much to ruin the needle on a turntable.
I'm on the side of liking the idea, as long as the turntables aren't stackable record changers.
