This thread was buried. So I had the good (no, GREAT) fortune of seeing Jesus And Mary Chain with NIN last night at my favorite concert venue. F'ing amazing show!!
First: TOBACCO - Had never heard of them. The main guy in it is also from Black Moth Super Rainbow (yeah, don't know them, either). Was expecting nothing but was VERY pleasantly surprised...they were really good! Dark, heavy electronic music with imagery on their screens that will haunt me til the day I die (Pokemon and weird alien porn, anyone?).
Second: Jesus And Mary Chain - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Simply amazing...needed to play another couple hours...glorious, beautiful noise. William Reid is a monster on that guitar!
Third: NIN - Heavy, intense, dark, heavy, intense, heavy...did I mention they were really heavy? I knew they would be good but had no idea just what I was truly in for. Wish into March Of The Pigs was so brutal...a concert moment (well several minutes rather than just a moment) that I will never forget. Here's the setlist: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/nine-inch-nails/2018/orpheum-theatre-memphis-tn-33e9c049.html

Just a few hours til I finally get to see the Pixies and get wildly disappointed by Weezer ignoring Pinkerton lol.
It's going to be an all-covers concert including their version of Toto's "Africa"![]()
It felt like it at times...and, yes, only 1 Pinkerton tune.

Wish I had taken notes so I could fill in the unknowns.
No "Debaser"? WTF?
Paul McCartney concert last night - really a great show. He had a great easygoing rapport with the audience and several times told stories...
