Sonically/instrumentally this one remains fantastic, but every time I listen to it, I go back on forth on whether Thom Yorke's nasal whine detracts from the album or is just perfect for the mood/tone of the album

Lovin' Spoonful - "What's Up Tiger Lily?" (soundtrack 1967)

One of the odder albums from the Spoonful, or anyone else. Wiki sez:

"What's Up, Tiger Lily?" is a 1966 American comedy film directed by Woody Allen in his feature-length directorial debut.

Allen took a Japanese spy film, International Secret Police: Key of Keys, and overdubbed it with completely original dialogue that had nothing to do with the plot of the original film. By putting in new scenes and rearranging the order of existing scenes, he completely changed the tone of the film from a James Bond clone into a comedy about the search for the world's best egg salad recipe.

During post-production, Allen's original one-hour television version was expanded without his permission to include additional scenes from International Secret Police: A Barrel of Gunpowder, the third film in the International Secret Police series, and musical numbers by the band The Lovin' Spoonful. This experience helped convince Allen that he should secure creative control for all his future projects.

Guess Woody was more of a Velvet Underground kinda guy. Anyone ever see this film?

Jane Siberry - Jane Siberry (1981)

CD reissue of Jane's rare Canadian debut LP. As a Canadian singer-songwriter, she receives the inevitable comparisons to Joni. By 1980, Joni had moved away from familiar territory with the release of Mingus. So Jane Siberry in a sense fills the void with this collection of insightful, folkish pop songs.

Anyone ever see this film?

Yes. But many years ago. I remember thinking it was still a Bond spoof, but "sillified" for some reason. I never really got it, but found it fun. I should probably revisit it again on Netflix or elsewhere to see if the song remains the same.
