Continuing to push the envelope on (1) familiar and well-known bands and albums with long histories of radio play, or (2) simply, bands with interminably long names that one would not say in a bar over a beer or two (or, even attempt after three):

Low Low Low La La La Love Love Love ~ Ends of June (2007)

Indie Folk

John Coltrane - My Favorite Things (1961)
John Coltrane - My Favorite Things - album cover

Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Jerome Kern Song Book (1963)

Ella Fitzgerald - Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Jerome Kern Song Book - album cover

A later entry in Ella's tremendous Song Book series with only Johnny Mercer coming afterward. I owned all of the song books up to 1962 Harold Arlen and so, because I never owned it, I never think of breaking it out (have I even heard the whole thing...I think so). Still, correcting that now - compared to the others, only a single disc but Ella sounds great (and is backed by Nelson Riddle's band)

The Beatles - The Beatles/1962-1966
The Beatles - 1962-1966 - album cover

Since @lpfreak1170 decided to post a deep cut like Dark Side, I decided to post the underground group that I was spinning today
Typically go with the original albums, but the "Red" and "Blue" albums were my first exposure (aside of course to radio play in the 1970s) and so it's always fun breaking these out from time to time

Male version of The Shaggs?

Taylor Swift - Red (Taylor's Version) (2012/2021)

I'm not even a little ashamed.

There's a bit of a conspiracy theorist in me that wonders if the whole battle for Taylor's music rights was a hoax, so that she could re-record and re-release her albums and make big bank from the same material. Yeah...yeah...I know it's not true, but OTOH....(where's that old tinfoil hat emoji?)

That'd be a helluva nasty thing to do to her fans who she knows will buy anything she offers up.

I just know the 2 Taylor's Versions that she has released have been better than the originals to me...and I'm waiting not too patiently for the TV of Speak Now.
