I read an old interview with Lane that was recently published in Shindig magazine. He left the Faces at their peak - said he lost interest in the band when Rod the Mod began buying his clothes on Carnaby St. Lane's later work with Slim Chance is stunning.
Initial reaction: a bit of a Family ripoff...especially when considering the timing of the release. That being said, I think they do a nice job of capturing the Chappo vocal vibe, but (unfortunately) minus the Poli Palmer rhythmic input.
