Yaz/Yazoo - Upstairs At Eric's (1982)

220px-Yazoo-Upstairs-At-Erics.jpg

In the 80s was not into new wave at all, but was exposed to this as my girlfriend (now wife) had it and enjoyed it. So I've always had a follow up for Yaz's albums - plus Alison Moyet - what a voice!

I was only a minor fan of New Wave in the '80's too. A couple years ago, I was watching the Fringe TV series and the song Only You showed up in an episode. The scene it was in shone a little philosophical light on a life circumstance of mine. With that attachment, the song was in my head for a month or more. I still enjoy hearing it every time. And yes, Alison Moyet - what a lovely voice. I've never listened to her solo work. Can't imagine why not.

Floorian ~ What the Buzzing (2002)

The only people to which I think this release would appeal is Unsom and Pops. Pops would already know about it, of course, but then again so would Rick, so actually I am not sure if this qualifies as a recommendation at all.:axo:

They had a new record a year or so back and it is a burner! Slow bubbling psych madness.
