Ten Songs from Television

1) “See No Evil”
2) “Venus”
3) “Marquis Moon”
4) “Elevation”
5) “Prove It”
6) “Days”
7) “Glory”
8) “Little Johnny Jewel - Parts 1 & 2” (Live)
9) “1880 or So”
10) “Call Me Lee”

Sure, heavily weighted towards the classic Marquee Moon, but hey they only have three studio albums. The other five tracks - two from Adventure, one live from 1978, and two from their 1992 comeback album. RIP Tom Verlaine

Maya Angelou - Miss Calypso - album cover

First listen - had no idea about this interesting first act :)

Ten Songs From...Barrett Strong, Songwriter

1) "Money (That's What I Want)" by Barrett Strong
2) "Too Busy Thinking About My Baby" by Marvin Gaye
3) "Stay in My Corner" by The Dells
4) "The End of Our Road" by Gladys Knight and the Pips
5) "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" by Marvin Gaye
6) "I Can't Get Next to You" by The Temptations
7) "Smiling Faces Sometimes" by The Undisputed Truth
8) "Cloud Nine" by The Temptations
9) "War" by Edwin Starr
10) "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" by The Temptations

Only debated entry here is Strong's own "Money" - he has been on, off, on and now off the copyright. Strong always contested he was a songwriter. I lean, given what I've read about Berry Gordy (who is still listed), towards believing Strong
But otherwise all Strong as writer, cowriter - could have been all Tempts quite frankly as he also wrote great songs like "Just My Imagination", "I Wish it Would Rain" and "Ball of Confusion"

Note to @axolotl - "The Rubberband Man" is not on this list ;)
