Never thought I'd see this. Someone has released all of Mr. New Year's Eve's 78 rpm recordings from 1927 to 1950 on CD, made-to-order by Amazon. Despite an undeserved reputation for kitsch, Guy actually had one of the best sweet bands of the 30's and 40's, a genuine hit making machine. This volume holds such cheerful Depression-fighters as "Goodnight, Sweetheart", "I Wake Up Smiling", and "You Oughta Be In Pictures". Sound is not bad considering the age and rarity of the source material.
