Joe Sample - Rainbow Seeker (1978)

I love love love this. And throughout "In All My Wildest Dreams" I keep thinking of the lyrics to "Dear Mama" because Tupac used this Sample song as the sample for his hit.

I know some might not be looking the same place that I am, but I swear those look like Ohm Walsh loudspeakers.

That's heavy META sampling.

Various Artists - Stormy Weather (soundtrack 1943, Kritzerland Expanded Edition 2015)

Kritzerland Records (www.kritzerland.com) has become legendary in the soundtrack collector community for its limited edition vault-busting reissues. Somehow they negotiated for access to the musical archives of Fox and other studios to come up with projects like this one. Not only do we get all of the music from this legendary African American musical. Lena Horne, Fats Waller, Cab Calloway, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson are all alive and swinging. But there's another bonus disc with 11 songs left on the cutting room floor such as "Sunday In Savannah" by Cab Calloway and Lena Horne's sultry take on "Good For Nothing Joe". This one is still available at a reasonable price but only 1000 were produced, so don't tarry if you're interested.

:5.0: on the Sam-O-Meter. "My My, Ain't That Somethin'"
