In the mid-60s, anything dark or decidedly in a minor or sinister key was compared to Twilight Zone, or so I rememberate.

My brothers were in college then, and turning me on to movies like Black Sunday (with Barbara Steele), Black Sabbath (with Boris Karloff), and the various films of Vincent Price, that haunted my dreams when I was stupid enough to watch them (by myself).
